After two years of waiting for a refund from Avidela International Service Ltd., Eleazar Okoro (pseudonym), a Nigerian in the United Kingdom, can now heave a sigh of relief following the refund of his long-withheld fund.
He told EQToday that after several months of being hopeful for a refund, Avidela International Service Ltd. refunded N800,000 on May 17.
Last year, EQToday reported that Okoro had paid the travel agency N1 million to secure an Australian visa in 2022.

According to Okoro, the company assured him it would complete the visa process within 10 weeks and that failure to secure the visa would give him an 80 percent refund.
However, six months after he paid the company, they failed to keep their end of the bargain. It was at this point that he began to request a refund, although this yielded nothing positive until EQToday intervened,.
“Thank you, EQToday, for helping me get my money. Thank you for standing up for the masses,” a grateful Okoro said.
