Tizeti, a fixed wireless broadband internet service provider, has finally returned the outdoor access point it took from Emmanuel Abioye, an Oyo State resident, to him.

This came one month after FIJ reported how the service provider picked up the device from Abioye’s residence “for servicing” on December 15, 2023, but would not return it on time to the subscriber.

“Tizeti came to reinstall the outdoor device today,” Abioye told FIJ on Tuesday morning.

“Thank you so much FIJ, may God fight your battle for you as well.

“Thanks for coming to my rescue.”

On July 18, FIJ published a story on how Tizeti visited the customer’s Ibadan home and took the device away, telling him that the device needed to be upgraded at their office.

While the device was being taken away, they also promised him that it would be returned soon.

The wireless service provider subsequently failed to keep to its promise for seven months and this made Abioye believe he had been tricked into giving up the device.

He subsequently sent several emails to the company, requesting updates on the upgrade, but the outfit would not tell him when the device would be reinstalled.

When FIJ waded into the matter in July, however, Tizeti eventually promised it would get the device fixed and returned to Abioye by mid-August.
