Amarachi Ogbonna, a Lagos state resident, has asked Dana Air to refund the money he paid for two Dana Air flight tickets that were abruptly cancelled by the airline in April.
Speaking with FIJ, Ogbonna said he had booked two flight tickets on April 18 for himself and his colleague — one from Lagos to Abuja, and the other from Abuja to Lagos. While he was flown to Abuja, his return flight was cancelled.

“After the cancellation of the flight, I had to use my money to pay for another flight,” he said.
Ogbonna also told FIJ that he had written numerous emails to Dana Air, but despite complying with their directive for him to send his details, he still did not get his refund.
“I have sent my PNR, but up till now, I have not gotten my refund for that flight,” he said.

FIJ messaged Dana Air’s WhatsApp number for customer complaints on Tuesday, but there has been no reply three days after.
Ogbonna’s complaint is one of the numerous cases of customers whose funds have been held by Dana Air after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) temporarily halted its services in April.
