Tizeti, a wireless internet service provider, has had a connection downtime for over two weeks and efforts by subscribers to inquire about the cause have been frustrated by the poor response from customer support.

Philip Ibitoye, one of Tizeti’s subscribers who spoke to FIJ, narrated that he noticed the network problem on December 5, and from what he has experienced with them, “there is no end in sight”.

“For weeks, the network has refused to acknowledge that this is a huge problem and continues to reply to customers with the same robotic response of: our team is working diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. This response provides no timeline for an end to this issue since this has been on for two weeks,” Ibitoye lamented.

“The company has handled this with levity, with their lethargic communications, and it seems they don’t care about how this hurts customers because they believe there would be no consequence.”

Ibitoye said he had tried to reach Tizeti both on X and through email, but this did nothing to mitigate the situation as they have only given him repeated automated responses.

When Ibitoye contacted Tizeti on December 15, they sent him an automated response; they sent a similar response when he emailed them again on December 19.
