Quickteller has finally refunded Yomi Ayantunde (pseudonym), a customer of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, whose electricity payment it failed to disburse to the DisCo.
After Ayantunde obtained his prepaid meter, IKEDC gave him free 200 units, and later told him to make a N45,165.03 recharge.
When he first used his card to make the transfer, it did not go through. So, he tried again through mobile transfer.
“I clicked on the Quickteller bank transfer option, the Wema Bank account was displayed and I paid,” Ayantunde had said.

When he contacted IKEDC, they said they did not receive the money. He asked GTB, his own bank, and Wema Bank, the DisCo’s bank, but the two were unable to prove that the issue was not from them.
On Thursday, Ayantunde told FIJ that Quickteller had refunded his money.

“Finally, after seven months, Quickteller has refunded my money,” Ayantunde said.
“After FIJ published it (the story), Quickteller finally reached out to me. Since then I have also been following up with them until they finally refunded me after more than seven months.”
