On December 27, 2023, Dana Airlines emailed Godswill Sunday, a Lagos-based man, to inform him that his Abuja-Lagos flight had been cancelled. It has been five months since then, but the airline has failed to provide the Lagos resident a refund.
Sunday told EQToday that he received an email notifying him that the flight had been cancelled a few hours before takeoff and that he had to book another flight to meet up with his appointment.

“In December last year, I booked a flight from Abuja to Lagos. The flight was scheduled for December 27. A few hours before the flight, they sent a message to remind me of the flight, and later in the day, I got a message informing me that the flight had been cancelled,” he said.

He added that he requested a refund from the airline upon his return but they never responded to emails or direct messages on X.
“I tried calling their mobile number, but it was unreachable. I sent them messages on X and never got a response. I also visited their stand at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja. While there, I was advised to visit their branch in Lagos. I did just that, but nothing has been done yet,” said Sunday.
EQToday emailed Dana Airlines on Tuesday, but they did not respond.
