Visitors can neither view nor download documents on the Budget Office website, FIJ has found.

On Saturday, FIJ checked the website and attempted to download the 2024 Appropriation Act, but the move failed.

A popup message that read “Invalid address: (to):” appeared on the lower right of the screen alongside another message saying a download link had been sent.

Response from Budget Office website

FIJ checked other documents on the page and got the same error message.

An X user had raised the alarm that the documents were not on the website at all.

The user, @lloydatiku, posted what appears to be a screenshot of the Budget Office’s website with a caption: “Budget documents are no longer available to Nigerians. Tinubu is a catastrophe.”

While checking his claim, the newspaper found links to the documents and observed that they could neither be viewed nor downloaded.
