Kaduna Electricity Distribution Plc., also known as Kaduna Electric, has finally sent the N14,500 prepaid metre tokens purchased by Gabriel Iduh, a Kaduna State resident, to him.
This came hours after FIJ reported how the power distribution company failed to send the units to the resident since he made the purchase on July 7 and 13 respectively.
“One of the officials from Kaduna Electric gave me a phone call yesterday evening to apologise for the Disco’s failure in sending me the tokens I purchased on time,” Iduh told FIJ on Wednesday morning.

“After she apologised, she then sent me the N10,000 and N4,500 tokens via WhatsApp. I immediately loaded the tokens and power got restored to my apartment,” Gabrield said.
“Thank you so much, FIJ, for coming to my rescue. I really truly appreciate the efforts you make as an organisation in coming to the rescue of Nigerians. Thank you, FIJ.”

On July 7, Iduh had made a N10,000 token purchase but Kaduna Electric failed to send the prepaid units he bought to him. He subsequently made several phone calls and sent many emails to the company but the units were still not sent to him.
On July 13, and when he had almost exhausted the existing units on his metre, he decided to make another N4,500 token purchase.
Just like the July 7 purchase he made, however, Kaduna Electric yet again failed to the newly bought units to him.
The company would also not respond to his phone calls and emails for 17 days, forcing him into darkness.
